Avnet's Newest Software as a Service Offering Helps Partners Target Incremental Revenue Opportunities in the Rapidly Growing Hosted Application Market
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- With industry analyst firm IDC predicting that worldwide Software as a Service (SaaS) revenues will reach $17B by 20121, Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced a new offering to help its value-added reseller partners in the Americas target this market. With Avnet's OneTech Hosted SharePoint services, Avnet partners can provide their customers with a highly secure, central location where employees can efficiently collaborate with team members, find organizational resources, manage content and workflow, and gain the business insight needed to make better-informed decisions. The new service is designed to help partners expand their managed service portfolios and gain incremental revenue.

Avnet's OneTech Hosted SharePoint enables partners to provide their customers with a way to create, manage and build collaborative web-sites and make them available throughout the organization, securely over a Web infrastructure. The services are offered on a pay-per-use model with a predictable monthly cost based on customers' project needs and the ability to scale as their organization grows.
