Cambridge, UK and San Francisco, Calif. - November 15, 2007 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it was named one of the top 100 companies in the digital content industry by EContent Magazine. EContent is a monthly leading IT business publication that focuses on the development and implementation of digital content strategies and resources.

After an extensive selection process conducted by a global panel of judges, the 'EContent 100' award nominees were judged on their current standing, activities over the past year and respective impact on the digital content industry. The panel consisted of editors and specialists from EContent, as well as other Information Today, Inc. editors. Having selected the nominees, judges spent a month voting, debating and collaborating to determine the top 100 successful companies that matter most in the digital content industry. The 'EContent 100' list will be published in the December 2007 issue of the magazine and available online at www.econtentmag.com.

"We are honored to be recognized by EContent for the fifth consecutive year," said Mike Lynch, CEO of Autonomy. "Autonomy has also been recognized by leading analysts as the leader in information access, with a market share doubling that of its closest competitor. More importantly, with more than $70 million in annual R&D investments, Autonomy owns all of its technologies to ensure that our customers always have the latest and most innovative technologies to meet their growing business needs."

In selecting Autonomy for the 2007 'EContent 100,' the panel of judges noted the company's leading market share, thought- and technology-leadership, as well as innovation.

"The 'EContent 100' list provides a look at the stand-out companies that demonstrate the winning strategies and solutions which define the digital content industry," said Michelle Manafy, EContent's editor.
