ATS Strengthens Commitment To Making Factories Run Better By Naming James W. Hefti Vice President of Human Resources


Appointment signals the company's pledge to recruiting, training and employing manufacturing's next generation skilled workforce

PEORIA, Ill. (October 14, 2005) - As Advanced Technology Services, Inc., (ATS) provides solutions to the skilled labor crisis facing America's manufacturers, the company today announced that it has hired James (Jim) W. Hefti to serve as Vice President of Human Resources.

In his role, Mr. Hefti will deliver on ATS' pledge to recruit, train and supply the multi-skilled manufacturing craftsmen and technologists that will be required to keep global manufacturers competitive and profitable as the baby boomer generation retires. ATS is the industry leader in managed services for production equipment maintenance, industrial parts repair and IT infrastructure support for manufacturers.

Mr. Hefti's tenure includes over 12 years of experience in human resources administration and extensive expertise in operations management. He holds SRHM certification (Professional of Human Resources), and is a certified facilitator of Managing Interpersonal relationships.

Prior to joining ATS, Mr. Hefti was Director of Human Resources - Supply Centers and Director, Corporate Human Resources for Associated Materials, a $1.1 billion manufacturer and distributor of exterior building materials headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Hefti also served in Operations with Sterling Inc. of Akron, Ohio, the second largest retail jewelry chain in the U.S, operating as Kay Jewelers, JB Robinson Jewelers and others. He is a graduate of Malone College and served for six years as a United States Marine.
