Atlas Material Testing Technology Announces New President and CEO
DECEMBER 18, 2007, CHICAGO, IL - Atlas Material Testing Technology, a leader in weathering testing technology, names Rick Weiler as the new President and CEO effective January 2008.
Mr. Weiler joins Atlas from PerkinElmer Optoelectronics where he was the Vice President, General Manager of Specialty and Commercial Lighting. His tenure with PerkinElmer Optoelectronics included serving as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, responsible for worldwide sales. Weiler began his career with United Technologies and Allied Signal in engineering and operations.
"In my prior role at PerkinElmer Optoelectronics, I have admired Atlas from a supplier's perspective," said Mr. Weiler. "I look forward to working with the management team to continue Atlas' growth and leadership position in the market."
Mr. Weiler's credentials also include an AB from Dartmouth College, a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
