ASTM 16th International Symposium on Zirconium in the Nuclear Industry to Be Held in China
Press release date: Jan 26, 2010
The purpose of the symposium is to provide a forum for exchanging new information on the fabrication, testing, development and characterization of zirconium-base materials in the nuclear industry, including material behavior during normal, transient and accident conditions and material behavior during intermediate and long-term storage conditions. Of special interest is the application of new alloys.
Session papers and posters will reflect emerging technologies and concerns in the following areas: basic metallurgy, processing and fabrication, alloy development, mechanical behavior, primary failure mechanisms, degradation mechanisms of failed fuel, corrosion and hydriding, in-reactor performance, irradiation effects, high-temperature and transient phenomena, mechanistic modeling of processing or performance, and intermediate and long-term storage performance.
Online registration is now open and will close April 26, 2010. For more information, visit http://www.astm.org/B10symp510.htm.
The fee to attend the workshop for ASTM members, presenters, poster presenters and session chairs is $765 USD for online registration and $790 USD for onsite registration. The fee for non-ASTM members is $790 USD online and $815 USD on site.
