ASTM International Sponsors 31st Symposium on Pesticide Formulations and Delivery Systems



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., -The 31st Symposium on Pesticide Formulations and Delivery Systems: Innovative Green Chemistries for the 21st Century, will be held Oct. 12-14, 2010, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. The symposium is sponsored by ASTM International Committee E35 on Pesticides and Alternative Control Agents, and is being held in conjunction with the Oct. 10-15 standards development meetings of the committee.

The annual ASTM Symposium on Pesticide Formulations and Delivery Systems serves as a multidisciplinary forum for scientists, university educators, research and extension staff, equipment manufacturers and applicators, regulators and the business community to exchange information and to learn about state-of-the art products and practices that meet or exceed current and future green chemistry market trends. Invited speakers from both industry and government will focus on subjects of current and future trends in the agrochemical industry.

Symposium themes will include the following general topics:

o Green Surfactant, Adjuvant, and Active Ingredient Chemistries for the 21st Century;

o Innovative Formulations for Delivery of Active Ingredients;

o Seed Treatment Delivery Systems;

o Formulations for Post-Harvest Treatment of Fruits and Vegetable Crops;

o Biopesticide Formulation Development Controlled Release Delivery Systems;
