ASTM Committee E36 names Leo Titus as chairman.

Employed by ECS since 1997, Titus served as project manager, department manager, and vice president. He has been ASTM member since 2001; holds bachelor's degree in civil engineering, master’s degree in geotechnical engineering, and MBA from University of Mary Washington; and contributes to various other organizations.

ASTM International Accreditation & Certification Committee Names Leo Titus as New Chairman

Leo J. Titus, Jr., president of ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC, in Chantilly, Va., has been named chairman of ASTM International Committee E36 on Accreditation & Certification.

Formed in 1973, E36 has nearly 150 members and includes 5 technical subcommittees that oversee 8 standards related to operation and recognition of accreditation bodies and conformity assessment entities for calibration and testing laboratories, inspection bodies, and certification and registration bodies. Titus has been a member of ASTM since 2001.

Titus has been with ECS Mid-Atlantic since 1997 having previously served as project manager, department manager, and vice president. A graduate of Clarkson University, Titus holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from the University of Mary Washington.

Titus is a member of the Geoprofessional Business Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Committee for Dulles, and the Washington Area Council of Engineering Laboratories.
