ASC to Promote Adhesives at Leading Global Packaging Event
PACK EXPO International to Draw 76,000 Engineers; ASC to Promote Industry at Booth N-4525
Bethesda, MD – The Adhesive and Sealant Council is preparing to share how adhesives support innovation at the world’s largest packaging and processing events tradeshow, PACK EXPO International. PACK EXPO International will be held November 2-5 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. The show is produced by PMMI – the Packaging and Processing Association.Â
ASC will host Booth N-4525 in the North Upper Hall within the PACK EXPO Partner Program and share: information with design engineers about its award-winning educational website at www.adhesives.org; videos illustrating how adhesives have solved many packaging challenges; and several key tools design engineers can leverage. ASC staff will also offer guidance and distribute information about the organization and its member companies present at the show.Â
“PACK EXPO International is the primary place where packaging design engineers go to view the latest innovations in packaging and package design, making it a perfect opportunity for ASC to highlight how adhesives can play a strong role in supporting the innovative projects they are developing,” notes Matthew E. Croson, President of ASC. “Our goal is to promote the industry in order to drive traffic to ASC member company booths, while also communicating how the Council’s resources can support innovation.”
This is the third year in a row that ASC has participated as part of PMMI’s Partner Program. Each year, hundreds of design engineers have stopped by the booth to ask questions and pick up information on the Council’s membership and programming. From providing training information to access to industry companies, the ASC booth at PACK EXPO has been a solid clearinghouse for industry information at this prestigious event.
“Each year, our turnout at the booth increases substantially, as design engineers looking for innovative approaches to package design come by and learn more about how adhesives can make a difference,” notes Jessica Taglieri—Senior Manager, Web Services at ASC. “The conversations with engineers coming by the booth have really developed into counseling and guiding sessions, and we are spending more time than ever advising on adhesive solutions & working to connect attendees to our members that are at the show, who can sit down and guide further projects that engineers are working on.”
