As Part Of a Company Reorganization, Adhesives Research Debuts ARmark(TM) As One Of Four New Divisions


Jeff Robertson to lead new division focusing on custom Authentication Technologies

GLEN ROCK, Pa. (October 18, 2005) - As part of a corporate restructuring, Adhesives Research, Inc., today announced the launch of a new division of the company called ARmark(TM) Authentication Technologies. This division is one of four new fully integrated operating divisions of Adhesives Research, a leading global developer and manufacturer of custom pressure-sensitive adhesives, tapes, specialty films, coatings, and laminates.

ARmark(TM) Authentication Technologies develops unique technical solutions and customized products for customers experiencing challenges with product surety, authentication, and risk mitigation that can be used in anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, and supply chain management. These new technologies can be utilized across a wide range of industries including, but not limited to, pharmaceutical products, packaging, electronics, OEM parts, designer apparel, currencies, securities, documents, and food.

Kären Olson, Adhesives Research president and CEO, named Jeff Robertson to lead this new division as director and general manager. With Adhesives Research for eleven years, Robertson most recently served as general manager of the company's Splicing and Web Processing Business Unit. A resident of York, Pennsylvania, Robertson earned a bachelor's degree from Colby College and an MBA from Kennedy-Western University.

The company's reorganization also introduces ARcare®, ARclad® and ARx(TM) divisions. ARcare® will focus on the development and manufacturing of highly customized tapes, adhesive coated products, films, and laminates. The ARclad® division will build upon several proven product lines of high-performance, specialty pressure-sensitive tapes used by industrial customers in the construction, pulp and paper, and transportation markets.

Finally, ARx(TM) will expand AR's role as a leading component supplier/partner to the pharmaceutical industry and bring added focus and regulatory control to the design, scale-up, and manufacture of "active" adhesive laminates and dissolvable films for the fast-growing drug delivery sector.
