Artimi and DisplayLink Announce Zero Install(TM) Wireless USB Solution for Projector Market

Unique "Plug & Play" Wireless USB Solution Requires No Setup, Software or Driver Installation on Host Device

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - May 30, 2008 - Artimi Inc., developer of high-speed wireless semiconductors for portable consumer electronics, and DisplayLink Corp., the leader in network display technology, today jointly announced the availability of a complete production-ready, easily integrated Wireless USB projector reference design, targeted at both future projectors and the legacy installed base.

Utilizing DisplayLink's USB graphics technology and Artimi's leading Wireless USB solutions, the reference design enables high throughput, easy to use wireless projection via aftermarket adapters or embedded modules, or any combination of the two, replacing the cumbersome VGA cables currently used to link the PC to the projector, and providing wireless convenience to the user.

Uniquely benefiting from Artimi's Zero Install technology, the reference design offers multi-PC boardroom users "plug & play" high frame rate data projection at resolutions up to 1280x1024, without the need for driver installation. This means that visitors, or corporate PCs with restricted security policies can still benefit from simple wireless connectivity, by simply plugging in a Wireless USB adapter to connect directly to the projector.

Consisting of two components, a PC-side USB adapter and a projector-end adapter, the solution uses Wireless USB and generates an industry standard VGA or DVI output to the projector. The projector-end adapter can be easily integrated into the projector, or implemented as an external or aftermarket adapter, to address the installed base of corporate LCD and DLP projectors. This market is estimated to exceed 20 million units worldwide.

The solution also supports notebook PCs with integrated Certified Wireless USB, to take advantage of the growing Certified Wireless USB ecosystem.

Andrew Vought, CEO for Artimi said, "We hear time and again from our customers, that our approach to making Wireless USB simple to integrate and simple to use pays dividends both in terms of getting product to market quickly and cost-effectively, and winning over consumers. The business data projector market is extremely keen to incorporate high speed wireless connectivity, but needs a 'Zero Install' option to support visitors, and corporate PC users without IT administrative privileges. We are confident that our solution delivers exactly what they need - an easily integrated solution that is practical, has a great 'wow factor', and is immediately marketable."

"DisplayLink is committed to a new standard of 'connect and go' productivity," said Dennis Crespo, executive VP, marketing and business development for DisplayLink. "The Artimi Wireless USB projector design leverages DisplayLink network display technology to make wireless projector connectivity simpler than ever before."
The production-ready reference design, based on Artimi's A-150 chip which is certified by the USB-IF, is available now, and includes a full set of design, production and product information, as well as development tools making it ultra simple to use. The design is available for shipping and will be demonstrated at Computex Taipei, June 3-7 2008. Artimi: Suite 1150, Grand Hyatt Taipei, contact
