Arrow Electronics Introduces Technical Solutions Forum Series

First seminar to feature ARM-based solutions for cost-sensitive applications for customers in cities throughout North America

MELVILLE, N.Y., April 30 -- The North American Components (NAC) business of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) today introduced The Arrow Technical Solutions Forum (ATSF), a series of seminars for engineers to gain a better understanding of broad technologies and solutions featuring multi-supplier solutions that address complex design challenges.

The first seminar, which is being offered with no admission charge in cities throughout North America in May and June, is titled "ARM-based Solutions for Cost-Sensitive Applications." Suppliers will feature microcontrollers based on the ARM processor architecture with a robust set of peripherals and a common, unified set of tools to help Arrow manufacturing customers get to market faster with new designs.

"Arrow NAC is pleased to present its first ATSF seminar series, offering cost-saving ARM solutions to balance our customers' needs for high performance, high integration, low power and small die sizes," said David West, vice president, Technical Marketing, Arrow NAC. "We believe the ATSF seminar series is another vital resource and competitive advantage for our customers, addressing relevant issues and trends applicable to their markets today and in the future."

The ATSF seminar series complements Arrow's value-added services, such as Arrow Consulting Engineering Services (ACES); Arrowdevtools.com, featuring ARM development tools; Arrow Testdrive, a "try before you buy" tool evaluation program; EmbeddedDeveloper.com; The ARM Approved Training Center (ATC) and Custom Logic Solutions (CLS).

ATSF seminars feature:

o Learning modules that integrate technologies from multiple suppliers
and third-party vendors

o In-depth presentations and demonstrations

o Hands-on training designed specifically to reduce engineering
development time and enable customers to get to market faster

Later ATSF seminars will include ARM-based solutions for high-end applications; a portable applications workshop; and other multi-supplier, solution-based discussions as part of a growing library of topics that Arrow customers can take advantage of to stay ahead of technology trends in their markets.
