Water Soluble Residue Found on Asphalt Roofing Products ('Tobacco-Juicing')

[Washington, DC]-The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association [ARMA] has announced the publication and availability of ARMA's newest steep slope roofing technical bulletin: "Water Soluble Residue Found on Asphalt Roofing Products ('Tobacco-Juicing')".

The publication is the newest bulletin in the continuing ARMA series of technical and product bulletins developed and published on a wide range of 28 different subjects covering both low-slope and steep-slope roofing. The "Water Soluble Residue Found on Asphalt Roofing Products ('Tobacco-Juicing')" technical bulletin was developed by the ARMA Steep Slope Roofing Committee, and approved by the ARMA Board of Directors. The new bulletin joins a previously developed and published low slope roofing companion product bulletin "Water Soluble Residue From Asphalt Roofing Products ('Tobacco-Juicing')". The overall ARMA literature inventory includes a comprehensive listing of 57 publications covering residential and commercial roofing subjects, including sales and educational brochures, application and design manuals, maintenance manuals, and technical bulletins, and other materials and information.

ARMA is the official voice of the asphalt roofing industry, and as such, the Association's publications are recognized as among the most reliable source of information on a variety of residential and commercial asphalt roofing subjects.

All ARMA publications are listed on the ARMA website under publications, and are available to order on-line. Individual copies of the technical bulletins are available to download and print off for reference at the recently activated new redesigned ARMA website: www.asphaltroofing.org.

The recommendations contained in the product bulletin were prepared by and have the approval of the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association for informational purposes only. They are not intended to revoke or change the requirements or specifications of the individual roofing material manufacturers or local, state and federal building officials that have jurisdiction in a specific area. Any question, or inquiry, as to the requirements or specifications of a manufacturer, should be directed to the roofing manufacturer concerned.
