ARINI Lighting System from HessAmerica Selected for Inclusion in 2017 Illuminating Engineering Society Progress Report

Gaffney, South Carolina, 2017 - HessAmerica is pleased to announce that the ARINI lighting system has been selected for inclusion in the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) 2017 Annual Progress Report. The IES Progress Committee selected the architectural LED luminaire based on criteria of uniqueness, innovation, and significance to the advancement of the state of the art and science in the lighting industry.

ARINI, a stylized flood and accent luminaire, combines illumination with striking design to bring a sense of place to convention centers, fairgrounds, stadia, theme parks, and other large scale gathering areas. Multiple luminaires paired with artistically styled poles add visual interest to feature spaces while generating functional illumination.

ARINI’s distinctive truncated teardrop-shaped housing and shroud are die-cast aluminum for a well-defined style. The luminaire, with an integral tenon, is axially rotatable for horizontal adjustment range of +/- 60°, while the adjustable knuckle allows luminaire tilt from nadir to 120° vertical.

ARINI provides illumination through six high-power LEDs in warm or neutral color temperatures. The choice of optics includes three rotationally symmetric distributions and two elliptical beam patterns to meet varying site lighting requirements. Optional flowing teardrop accent on the rear of the luminaire housing is available to provide colored LED highlighting or waymarking. All hardware is stainless steel.

For added functionality, ARINI accommodates outdoor rated speakers for communication, enabling broadcasting of messages to contribute to active site dynamics. For security, CCTV cameras integrated into the housing provide an added level of protection. Wi-Fi may also be incorporated. Non-lighting functions may be combined with lighting and accenting on the same pole to meet the needs of the overall site experience.
