Archer's Building Expansion Will Lead to More Molded Goods Manufactured in NC

Winston-Salem, N.C. – Archer Advanced Rubber Components recently completed the expansion of its manufacturing facility, effectively doubling its manufacturing space. The new 17,000 square foot addition will help streamline operations and product flow.

A direct result of the expansion is that more molded goods will now be made in North Carolina. New equipment, such as molding presses, curing ovens, and expanded extrusion lines, will be integrated into the fold. Space will also be provided for value-added operations.

“We are very excited to have the manufacturing expansion completed and more new projects underway,” said George Halages, President of Archer. “We are always focused on quick reaction to customer needs. Integrating new equipment with our Kanban system and Just-In-Time shipping will now increase customer response even more. Also, we are happy that this expansion of production bandwidth will yield a direct economic benefit for manufacturing in North Carolina.”

During the development phase, Archer remained committed to energy efficiency. The new expansion’s use of natural lighting removes the need for artificial lighting during the day. Also, the building will be using reclaimed heat from manufacturing operations.
