Aqua-Chem Extends Reach in China With New Factory


Aqua-Chem, Inc., officially announced the future opening of a new manufacturing facility in Wuxi, China, at the Wuxi Wind Power Technology Park. This technology park hosts state-of-the-art technology companies. The 6,181–square-meters (66,531–square-foot) building will serve as the regional site for manufactured thermal distillation water purification equipment.



"This new facility will expand our capability to provide unmatched customer support to the pharmaceutical industry in Asia," said Aqua-Chem CEO David Gensterblum. "Manufacturing in China is an attractive, growing and sustainable industry. Our investment here is another illustration of Aqua-Chem’s commitment to customers and sustainable development in Asia. We now provide an unmatched combination of availability, cost and regional support for our Asia-Pacific pharmaceutical customers."



Aqua-Chem’s manufacturing operations will produce state-of-the-art thermal distillation units, which are used in the pharmaceutical industry to provide high quality water for injection.
