Easton PAÂ – After years of depending exclusively on a Pacific Rim supplier for valve stem components, the industry leader in toilet flushing mechanisms has returned to a local solution. Sussex Wire, a global design and manufacturing company of precision micro metal components headquartered in Easton, Pennsylvania, helped them re-establish a domestic source of components used across its range of flush valve platforms.
Through investments in state-of-the-art design, tool-making and proprietary automated roll forming machine technology, Sussex Wire is now producing millions of stainless steel micro valve stems a year with dimensions as small as 1/20th of an inch while controlling tolerances of greater than 0.001” for twenty (20) dimensions to better than a 1.33 Cpk. “The long-term design and quality assurance partnership developed between the team at Sussex Wire and our customer helped make this a major success for both companies”, commented Tim Kardish, Sussex Wire’s President.
