Apache Stainless Custom Tank On-Loan to Madison Area Technical College for Wisconsin Manufacturing Month Display

During the month of October, Apache loaned a custom manufactured stainless tank to the engineering program at Madison Area Technical College. The tank was part of their Made-in-Wisconsin display to celebrate Manufacturing Month through the month of October.
"This tank is an excellent example for the engineering, manufacturing and fabrication students to see the many types products that are manufactured in Wisconsin. It represents teamwork and craftsmanship. I also represents craftsmanship," says Denise Reimer, Dean of School of Applied Science, Engineering Technology.
"Apache's tank, along with the many other products provided by Wisconsin manufacturers for our display, give students an idea of the types of companies out there that might be perspective employers one day."
The specialized custom tank was engineered and fabricated at Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation for a pharmaceutical manufacturer. The largest item on display, the tank is a 48" diameter, 1400 liter, 316L stainless, self-contained agitation tank. It is portable to allow flexibility for moving between processes. The tank also features a site glass, 20" man way and nozzels. The tank is ASME certified and electropolished on the interior with a 30 RA (roughness average) finish on the exterior.
Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation is an active supporter and collaborator for area technical colleges with manufacturing programs. The company also works closely with area high schools on special work programs and educational activities.
