ANSI Online Company Member Forum to Focus on Standards for Reportable Human Capital

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Company Member Forum (CMF) monthly online discussion will next convene on April 12, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The speaker, Lee Webster, director of talent acquisition and recruitment at the University of Texas, Medical Branch, will speak about new standards development work in the area of “reportable human capital.”
This field involves analytical measures to assess the value of an organization’s people, linking individual performance to organizational performance, productivity, and overall workforce effectiveness.
A new project, ISO/NP 30414, Guidelines -- Human Capital Reporting for Internal and External Stakeholders, has recently been approved within the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 260, Human Resource Management. The U.S. plays a significant leadership role in TC 260, with ANSI holding the secretariat and James Lewis as chair of the committee. The ANSI-accredited U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) administrator to TC 260 is the University of Texas Medical Branch At Galveston.
During his presentation, Mr. Webster will describe the need for international standards on reportable human capital. He will describe what these voluntary standards may mean to publicly traded companies and the challenges confronted in developing these standards.
