The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has named Terry Maloney as its vice president of marketing and business development. Mr. Maloney will focus on the organization’s visibility and success in the market through the Energy 2020 and Corporate Alliance Partner programs, the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, and other educational and standards activities.

Prior to joining SCTE, Mr. Maloney led the marketing initiatives of Entertainment Promotions and Direct Energy, LLC. He has also served as the vice president of D4 Group, where he was responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing strategies for cable system operators including Comcast, Cox, Charter, and Time Warner Cable, among others.

The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has appointed Robert J. Risser as its new president. Mr. Risser brings with him over 20 years of executive association management experience.

Prior to joining PCI, Mr. Risser was the president and CEO of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), another ANSI member. In his tenure at CRSI, he led the organization to become an ANSI-accredited Standards Developer (ASD).
