Anritsu and Wild River Technology to Demonstrate High-speed Signal Integrity Test Solutions at DesignCon 2014

Anritsu VectorStar™, Wild River Channel Modeling Platforms that Meet Measuring Challenges Associated with Today's Designs to be Highlighted in Santa Clara

RICHARDSON, Texas — Anritsu Company (DesignCon® booth #501) and Wild River Technology (booth #535) announce the two companies will collaborate on education and technical sessions, as well as demonstrations during DesignCon 2014, January 28-31, in the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA. The joint initiatives are part of an on-going association between the two companies to address challenges faced by signal integrity engineers designing high-speed semiconductors, and communications systems and devices.

The demonstrations in the respective booths will integrate Anritsu's VectorStar Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) with Wild River Technology's CMP-28 and CMP-32 Channel Modeling Platforms (CMPs) and highlight how the solution can accurately verify measurement-simulation correlation on high-speed systems ranging from 6 to 32 Gbps data rates. The VectorStar and CMPs will also be key elements of the sessions given by the two companies.

"Anritsu and Wild River Technology are working in conjunction to meet the needs of signal integrity engineers who require highly accurate measurement solutions to verify their high-speed designs. At DesignCon 2014, we will highlight the first of what we expect to be many generations of products we develop," said Wade Hulon, General Manager and Vice President of Anritsu Company.

Sessions Address SI Concerns

Two sessions that discuss how VectorStar and the CMPs solve testing problems for signal integrity engineers will also be held by Anritsu Company and Wild River Technology. The first will be on Wednesday, January 29, from 3:45-5:15 p.m. in Mission City Ballroom M2. Entitled The Role of Improved Measurements and Tools in Assessing Simulation-Measurement Correspondence for 32 Gbps Systems, the technical session will be given by Bob Buxton of Anritsu and Al Neves of Wild River Technology.

Buxton and Neves, along with Dr. Jon Martens of Anritsu and James Bell of Wild River Technology, will present a paper on Thursday, January 30, from 11:05-11:45 a.m. in Ballroom K. Entitled Managing S-parameter Data for 10 to 32 Gb/s Time-Domain Simulations, the session will be valuable to engineers designing systems from 10 to 32 Gb/s, and system and 3D EM simulator users.

About Wild River Technology

Wild River Technology (WRT) markets products specifically for the high-speed signal integrity designer who addresses challenges in modeling interconnects, time and frequency domain measurements, and jitter analysis. WRT products address a wide scope of signal integrity issues from 6 to 32 Gb/s. Its product portfolio is a result of many years of working in high-speed design environments. The objective of the CMP product family, adapter and cable products, and measurement workspace product lines is to elevate SI practices and flow to improve confidence and reduce expensive late cycle design changes.
