Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter of International Society For Pharmaceutical Engineering Holds 21st Annual Life Sciences Tech Conference



Raleigh Convention Center on April 8th



RALEIGH, N.C. -- An expected 1000 life science professionals from Pfizer, Biogen Idec, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, Novo Nordisk, Grifols, and many others will gather at the ISPE-CaSA Life Sciences Technology Conference, Tuesday, April 8, 2014, 10:00 am-7:00 pm (http://ispe-casa.org/2014/) on the top floor of the Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC, to learn the latest manufacturing techniques through product demonstrations and informational sessions, partake in educational seminars presented by industry Subject-Matter-Experts (SMEs), mingle with industry professionals to gain insight into real-life manufacturing issues, and view exciting innovations from over 200 exhibitors.



A Keynote Panel presentation on the future of drug manufacturing and the pharmaceutical industry will feature:



Robert T. Geolas, president and CEO of the Research Triangle Foundation of NC;

Ali Skrinar, PhD, MPH, senior director, Clinical Sciences, of Ultragenyx;

Joydeep Ganguly, MS, MBA, senior director and general manager, Biogen Idec; and

In addition, there will be 10 breakout sessions in five tracks: Regulatory Compliance, Facilities and Equipment, Quality Systems, Production and Information Systems, and the NC Biotech Center's BPD Track, as well as an opportunity to support groundbreaking research by learning more about this year's featured charity, XLH Network. XLH Network representatives will be on hand to share some of the progress made towards increasing awareness and bringing forth treatments for X-Linked Hypophosphatemia.
