NACHOD, CZECH REPUBLIC, October 2, 2006--AMETEK electromotory, s.r.o., a unit of the Electromechanical Group (EMG) of AMETEK, Inc., celebrated its 10th anniversary this month with a visit from AMETEK EMG Group President Timothy N. Jones.

Founded by AMETEK in the summer of 1996, AMETEK electromotory started with a small staff that has since grown into a major global manufacturing operation with 400 colleagues. Today it is considered among best of AMETEK's 65 plants worldwide. The company is housed in a modern facility near Nachod in the Czech Republic that has been expanded several times and incorporates the latest motor manufacturing technology.

"They have successfully managed the migration of motor production from our plants in United States, Italy and Germany and now export their motors throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and Australia."
