American Sensors Technologies Contracts UG Electronics as Sensors Sales Rep for Finland

Mount Olive, NJ, June 26, 2006 - American Sensor Technologies (www.astsensors.com) and its subsidiary Macro Sensors (macrosensors.com) have appointed UG Electronics as distributor of their full line of sensing products throughout Finland. For American Sensor Technologies (AST), UG Electronics will represent the Company's product offering of pressure sensors and switches, while UG Electronics will sell Macro Sensors' line of displacement transducers, gauging probes, spring-loaded LVDTs and support instrumentation in Finland.

A well-known distributor in Finland, UG Electronics specializes in sensors, data acquisition and related equipment. The company's understanding of sensor technology and its use in different industry applications were major criteria in their selection by American Sensor Technologies and Macro Sensors.

"With the appointment of UG Electronics, we feel that we can serve the Finnish market even better," notes Ken Hartman, AST/Macro Sensors International Sales Manager. "UG Electronics will get the word out that AST and Macro Sensors specialize in custom special units in relatively small quantities that many other companies won't do. As the majority of our transducers are manufactured in-house, close to design and applications engineering, specials and standard excepts can be accomplished both fast and accurately."

About AST and Macro Sensors
Macro Sensors' (www.macrosensors.com) extensive line of LVDT-based linear and rotary sensors are used for linear position measurement and feedback in a variety of industrial applications including factory automation, motion control systems, metal fabricating, automotive assembly as well as power plants, gas/steam turbines. Incorporated in 1994, the Company offers more than 200 years of cumulative design and manufacturing experience by its key staff in serving its OEM and end-user international customer base. On June 1, 2005, Macro Sensors was acquired by AST, manufacturer of state-of-the-art (Micro Electro Mechanical Structures) MEMS-based pressure sensors, transducers, and transmitters.

AST makes pressure sensors and transmitters that utilize Krystal bond technology, a unique way to bond Piezo resistive gages to metal diaphragms. The technique allows bonding to stainless steel as well as Inconel and Titanium. Their line of gage and differential pressure devices are highly appreciated by demanding end users.
