AMCA International Appoints Mark Belke to Americas Region Chair



ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.,  - The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. is pleased to announce that Mark Belke, General Manager, Greenheck Fan, Wausau, Wisc., has been elected as chair of the AMCA Americas Region.



Mr. Belke has over 19 years industry experience in damper applications, engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing.  He has been an AMCA member for 17 years and an NFPA member since 2003.  As General Manager, Mr. Belke oversees product development, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, global sales, and code activity.



As the former chair of the AMCA Air Control Code Action and Review Committee, Mr. Belke has helped influence revisions to NFPA and International Building Code (IBC) publications.  He also worked with the State of California Fire Services department to adopt the 2006 IBC.



"Having been involved with AMCA for over 15 years, I am excited to take on this new challenge," said Mr. Belke. "I'm looking forward to expanding my role in growing AMCA's reach in the air systems industry."



Mr. Belke has published several life safety articles in and has presented on life safety dampers and their effective use in compartmentation in eight countries. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Distribution from the University of Wisconsin Stout.
