ALMAG Aluminum Celebrates 60 Years of Problem-Solving Innovation

Ardmore, Alabama — ALMAG Aluminum, which designs, extrudes, fabricates, and finishes custom aluminum products for industries around the world, celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2013.

Founded on February 28, 1953, by Edward Peacock, ALMAG was originally known as Almag Aluminum and Magnesium but soon began specializing in aluminum products only, focusing on curling aluminum for decorative door grilles. The extrusion component of the company started in 1959 with the installation of ALMAG's first extrusion press. Another extrusion press was added in 1974.

In 1987, Edward Peacock's son Bob, a Past Chairman of the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC), took over as president of ALMAG. Still family owned, ALMAG has locations in Ardmore, Alabama, and Brampton, Ontario.

"ALMAG has flourished for 60 years because of our 'Whatever It Takes!' attitude," notes Bob Peacock. "We value our many dedicated, long-serving employees and never stop striving to provide the most outstanding customer service possible."
