Alliance Systems Launches Customizable Universal Access Gateway

Plano, Texas --September 12, 2006 --Alliance Systems, Ltd. today launches its new high-performance, high-availability Universal Access Gateway (UAG) for main offices that converts T1 traffic to SIP. Gateways provide a seamless transition between advanced IP telephony features and existing technology investments. The UAG system enables OEMs to deploy their application along with gateway functionality in a single box. This flexible solution allows you to select your specific gateway features along with specific codecs like G.711 and G.729, eliminating unnecessary costs for features you do not require.

Alliance's specially designed gateway provides lower total cost of ownership by eliminating multi-vendor solutions and integrating your application and our gateway functionality into a single box. Customers can attain rack space savings as well as power savings and reduce management and integration efforts. Alliance's UAG supports four T1 spans and does digital trunk to SIP conversion and QSIG with caller name display. Digital T1 trunk supports ISDN & CAS protocols and the SIP coder supports G.711, G.729ab, and G7.23.1. Call analysis supports answering machine, no answer, busy, fax machine, modem, positive voice, silence detected, Cadence break, no ring back, and special information tone for no circuit, re-order, and vacant code.

Web-based configuration and monitoring allows for simple system/network setup, call routing and dial plan configuration, channel group definition, span configuration and span status.

"Most other gateways are loaded with all the functionality any company would need; our solution allows you to chose what functions you want and only pay for those features," stated Jeff Hudgins Vice President of Engineering at Alliance Systems. "And the system can also run an OEM's application along with the gateway, reducing the need for multiple systems, and significantly lowering a customer's total cost of ownership."
