Alliance Rubber Company Building Awareness For Latex Allergy Awareness Week

Latex allergy puts millions at risk of a severe, even life-threatening, allergic reaction. Protect yourself with Alliance Rubber Latex Free Rubber Bands.

Erasers. Swim Caps. Balloons. Rubber Bands. Most of these products have something incommon. It's called Latex. Each year, according to reports from Health Departments across the country, thousands of individuals suffer from allergic reactions.

Latex Allergy Awareness Week is observed nationally each October. The American Latex Allergy Association reports that 8-17% of healthcare workers, up to 68% of children with spina bifida, those who have had or will have multiple surgeries are all at risk.Overall, it's reported that three million people could potentially develop allergies from exposure to latex products.

"The first step to preventing latex allergy reactions is avoiding latex products," Jason Risner, Strategic Marketing Manager for Alliance Rubber Company, said. "When people with latex allergies extend a hand to pick up a rubber band, they can do so without fear. We are pleased to offer latex free products that contain no rubber proteins, will not cause reactions, and are bright orange for easy identification. As the American Latex Allergy Association works to bring more awareness to latex allergies, we're pleased to be one of the American manufacturers providing latex free products."

The American Latex Allergy Association (A.L.E.R.T., Inc.) is a national, nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to create awareness of latex allergy through education and to provide support to individuals who have been diagnosed with latex allergy.
