Allegheny Bradford Corporation Announces Expansion
Allegheny Bradford Corporation has announced that they are building an additional 40,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Lewis Run, PA that will also include 10,000 square feet of office space. The new building will be constructed on the former Valley Hunt property next to their sister company Top Line Process Equipment Company.
The new building will be equipped with state of the art manufacturing equipment and FAT utilities, 30 feet under the crane and up to 20-ton capacity. The facility will allow for expanded tank fabrication and assembly projects. ABC's current manufacturing building will continue to fabricate heat exchangers and filter housings.
Allegheny Bradford is the global leader in the design and manufacturing of sanitary shell and tube heat exchangers, tanks, modular process equipment and its patented Opti-CleanTM style filter housing, all critical to the drug manufacturing process.
ABC attributed this year's growth to several factors including the rapid growth in the US biotech industry and the global expansion of the major biotech companies in Europe and Asia. "We have created a market that has extreme confidence in our core products" said Carlyle Conn, General Sales Manager. "Anticipating this growth in sales, we began planning for an additional site some time ago. By more than doubling the company's current manufacturing capacity, the new facility will help us continue on this significant growth path."

The favorable business climate and the help of local economic development groups in Pennsylvania and Bradford/Lewis Run have been major factors in allowing ABC to expand here at home. Ground breaking is planned for January 2008 and will be operational August 2008.
