Aircom Manufacturing Aquires Full Interest in Medivative Technologies
INDIANAPOLIS - Nov. 7, 2006 - Aircom Manufacturing, Inc. has announced an agreement with Theron, Inc. to purchase Theron's 12-percent interest in Medivative Technologies, LLC.
Medivative, a premier medical device contract manufacturer, was created in 2002 as a joint venture of Indianapolis-based Aircom and Carmel-based Theron.
"We have enjoyed a successful and productive partnership with Theron, and we appreciate Theron's role in making Medivative a recognized and respected manufacturer of medical devices for the Life Sciences industry," said Ron Lyon, Aircom's president and chief executive officer. "With full ownership of Medivative, we will be able to increase efficiencies in the combined operations of Aircom and Medivative."
Medivative Technologies has become a premier solution provider in Life Sciences, boasting top clients such as Suros Surgical Systems, QuadraSpec and Beckman-Coulter. Medivative assists customers in developing innovative, technologically-advanced products, including the Quadraspec Inspira 250 Sample Processor and the Quadraspec Inspira Reader, which aid in processing biological data from Quadraspec's innovative BioCD technology. Other products have included electro-mechanical laboratory equipment, optical equipment and devices such as the Suros Surgical Systems' ATEC Sapphire, the first all-in-one console to give radiologists and surgeons the ability to perform breast biopsies in any of the three primary diagnostic imaging modalities.
