Air Canada Inaugurates Daily Non-Stop Service from San Diego to Vancouver, Offers up to 20 Daily Flights Between California and Canada


SAN DIEGO, CA, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With the departure today of Air Canada flight AC 8420 to San Diego from Vancouver, Canada's leading airline has increased its service to up to 20 daily flights between California and Canada.

Air Canada Jazz operates the new daily non-stop San Diego flights with next-generation 75-seat Bombardier CRJ-705 aircraft featuring all-leather seating configured in two classes of service. Ten window or aisle seats in Executive Class offer 37 inches of legroom, and 65 window or aisle seats in Hospitality service offer an industry leading 34 inches of legroom. All seats will be equipped with Air Canada's new in-seat personal entertainment system.

AC 8421 leaves San Diego at 11:50, arriving in Vancouver at 14:50. AC 8420 departs Vancouver at 08:15, arriving in San Diego at 11:15.

The Bombardier CRJ-705 aircraft has a cruising speed of 880 km/h and a range of more than 3,500 km with a total payload of 7,778 kg including a cargo payload of 700 kg. Air Canada Jazz will operate a fleet of 15 CRJ-705s by December 2005.

Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz and its commercial partners operate more than 385 non-stop daily flights on 79 routes to and from 50 U.S. and 6 Canadian destinations.
