Agilix Labs to Support Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 with New Releases of its Developer Solutions

OREM, Utah and LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 -- Agilix Labs, Inc., the leading provider of mobility software solutions for the education market, today announced that two of its upcoming releases will provide full support for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005.

In addition, Agilix updates to Agilix InfiNotes and the beta version of the Agilix GoBinder Software Developer Kit (SDK) software development tools will be made available at the public release of .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005.

Agilix InfiNotes is a set of software controls which are installed into the Visual Studio Toolbox to add ink note-taking features to new and existing .NET applications. Agilix developed InfiNotes in conjunction with the Microsoft Tablet PC team to accelerate the development of applications for the Tablet PC platform.

There are, however, two versions of Agilix InfiNotes. The InfiNotes Standard Edition provides Microsoft Journal-like functionality and is available license and royalty free. The InfiNotes Professional Edition includes state-of-the-art note-taking functionality and is available for a one time license fee per developer with no royalties. The Professional Edition includes all the rich note-taking functionality of Agilix GoBinder.

The Agilix GoBinder SDK is a software developer toolkit that enables .NET developers to extend the functionality of Agilix GoBinder, a mobile learning application for education built on the .NET Framework. With the .NET-based GoBinder SDK, developers can build smart clients for offline information access, as well as plug-ins to connect to online learning sources, extend collaboration with other peers and add new student learning capabilities. In addition, the SDK enables developers to build extensions to use Agilix GoBinder in other vertical markets. The GoBinder SDK is expected to be released at the end of 2005.

"Agilix is excited about the new release of the .NET Framework," said Curt Allen, Agilix president and chief executive officer. "Our new development solutions released this year are built on top of the .NET Framework. We want to insure that developers that leverage our SDK and developer tools will be able to take full advantage of the rich new functionality in .NET 2.0."

Both Agilix InfiNotes and the Agilix GoBinder SDK beta support .NET Framework 1.1 and Visual Studio 2003 today. Once .NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 are publicly available, Agilix will release new versions of InfiNotes and an updated beta for the GoBinder SDK. The new versions of Agilix software will allow developers to use Visual Studio 2005 to leverage the new .NET 2.0 functionality in any .NET supported language, such as Visual C# and Visual Basic .NET. In addition, Agilix will provide backwards compatibility so that developers can continue to use Visual Studio 2003 with the new releases of both development tools.
