Advent Software Announces Senior Appointments in the EMEA Region


New Appointments Will Maintain Strong Focus on Client Satisfaction and Growth Strategies

LONDON - November 14, 2007 - Advent Software, Inc., (NASDAQ: ADVS), the leading provider of software and solutions for the global investment management industry, today announced several new appointments in the EMEA region to support the continued growth of the organization. The new appointments span across a wide range of functions, but are mainly focused on client services and support. Advent's EMEA business has grown consistently over the last nine years and has developed a strong and loyal client base across the hedge fund, wealth management and asset management sectors.

HÃ¥kan Valberg has been appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager of Advent's EMEA region. Valberg joined Advent in 2003 and is responsible for all aspects of growing Advent's market share across Europe, Middle East and Africa. "Since he joined Advent, Hakan has made a tremendous impact on Advent's business in EMEA," said Pete Hess, EVP and General Manager of the Investment Management Group for Advent. "Under Hakan's leadership in the EMEA region, Advent's client base has increased, new markets have been established and revenues have doubled."

Coupled with the plan of continued growth is ensuring that all clients receive world class services and support, and Advent have made two important appointments to support this strategy. Roger Klausen has been appointed Vice President, Client Services and Lars Mellgren has joined Advent as Client Support Manager.

"Roger has been with the company since 1999 and has been instrumental in growing the business in EMEA. Roger has also worked in our San Francisco headquarters on the development of future roadmaps of Advent products, with increased focus on international requirements," said Valberg. "Roger already has great relationships with many of our clients and his new role will help reinforce our strong commitment to building long term relationships with our growing client list."
