Advantech Celebrates Successful 2006 eAutomation World Partner Conference


Taipei, Taiwan, Oct. 9th, 2006 - The 2006 Advantech eAutomation Group World Partner Conference was held in Dusseldorf, Germany this year from September 28-30. The main theme for this event was "Embrace the Open eAutomation World with Advantech", which clearly delivers the message that PC-based, open architecture is the trend in automation.

The event unified System Integrators, Channel Partners and Solution Partners, bringing together over 150 attendees from all over the world, from Europe, N. America, Asia and emerging territories, which is proof of the passion and commitment that Advantech's partners have in the eAutomation Group. The keynote speech featured sessions conducted by esteemed guest speakers, including global leaders from the automation industry. Siemens Automation & Drives presented "Trends & Evolution of Open Automation Software", and National Instruments delivered a message regarding "Programmable Automation Controllers -- Uncommoditizing Automation". Both of these presentations highlighted informative industry trends and echoed the eAutomation Group's Open eAutomation theme.

Top Advantech executives covered the automation industry's state-of-the-art technologies, vision and future directions. Advantech eAutomation also demonstrated the latest industrial automation solutions under the banner, "Open eAutomation, Boundless Integration". The conference section featured Advantech eAutomation star product offerings, comprehensive infrastructure details to support Open eAutomation business, successful vertical market applications delivered by our Solution Partners, and breakout sessions providing the opportunity for group discussions.
