ACE Exhibits New High Speed, Ultimate Process Control KISS-205 Selective Soldering with In-Line Concurrent Processing
Spokane Valley, WA - ACE Production Technologies will exhibit the next-generation KISS-205 fully in-line automated Selective Soldering system, recently introduced to the market. The KISS-205 effectively splits the process of fluxing, pre-heating and soldering to significantly gain productivity by reducing TAKT by up to 50% vs. incremental processing. The new system will be exhibited at IPC/APEX 2012 in Booth #1636. IPC/Apex 2012 Conference and Exhibition takes place February 28 - March 1 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.
"In the KISS-205, a PCB is fluxed and brought to preheat temperature, then sent to the 2nd conveyor for soldering while concurrently applying flux and pre-heating the next PCB," Alan Cable, President, states. The unique KISS-205 is a fully configured In-Line SMEMA-compatible selective soldering system that includes the following standard features: "Super Quick" motion with closed loop position feedback with linear encoders for fastest processing times; Rapid setup and time to "first production" with the intuitive KISSware off-line programming; Dual universal PCB edge conveyor with program controlled width adjustment, positive PCB location and PCB flattening; Dual pre-heater modules that are independently controlled with optical pyrometers; Automated fiducial XY and skew correction; and more programmable features and innovative components including ACE's advanced design and performance Volumetric atomized fluxer and Drop jet fluxer.
