ACD Acquires a PSA N2-GEN® Series Pressure Swing Adsorption Nitrogen Generator

RICHARDSON, TX - ACD, a leading supplier to the electronics industry, recently installed a PSA N2-GEN® Series Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Nitrogen Generator from South-Tek Systems. Dee Claybrook of Southwest Systems Technology, Inc. assisted with the purchase of the system, which will enable ACD to reduce its Nitrogen costs by up to 90 percent.

The South-Tek Systems' N2-GEN® C Series Nitrogen Generator is a PSA system for high purity Nitrogen applications. ACD now can generate Nitrogen with purities up to 99.999 percent. The high purity Nitrogen is generated via the PSA process, where compressed air is applied to a vessel filled with carbon molecular sieve (CMS) material, i.e. activated carbon.

"Adding Nitrogen generation not only decreased ACD's operating costs, but also gives us higher quality Nitrogen for the production floor," stated W. Scott Fillebrown, ACD's President & CEO.

Charles Metzler, Industrial Sales Manager of South-Tek Systems, remarked, "We are excited about the installation of our Nitrogen Generator at ACD. South-Tek takes great pride in the design and quality of our Nitrogen generators, and believes this partnership between two high-quality manufacturers will greatly benefit ACD and support the high standards they embrace in serving their customers."

South-Tek Systems specializes in engineering and manufacturing the N2 GEN Series of PSA Nitrogen gas generators for use in a wide variety of applications worldwide, including industrial, military, laboratory and process applications. Since 2009, South-Tek has partnered with Juki Automation Systems, a leader in the selective solder industry, as the exclusive provider of Nitrogen Gas Generators for its line of selective soldering equipment.
