ACC Issues Call for Entries for Polyurethanes "Innovation Award" Nominations for the Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference

-- July 16 deadline for entries

ARLINGTON, VA (March 13, 2008) - Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council, has issued a call for entries for the 2008 Polyurethane "Innovation Award" nominations. This year's award program's three categories include Polyurethane Chemicals, Processing Equipment and Finished Product. Finalists will be selected and winners will be announced at the Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference, held September 29 - October 1 at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.

"CPI recognizes the importance of the efforts and foresight of the companies and individuals whose visions and perseverance have brought new products to the marketplace," says Neeva-Gayle Candelori of CPI. "This year's award program will shine the spotlight on products and technologies in three innovative categories. Without the efforts of those aiding in the advancement of polyurethanes, the industry would not be sustainable in the future."

Companies or individuals interested in entering the award program must submit an application no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on July 16, 2008. A panel of judges representing a cross section of polyurethanes experience and knowledge, and representing industry and industry associations, will evaluate all submissions and choose finalists for each category.

Finalist entries will be on display at the Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference, and attendees will have a chance to cast one vote per category for the entry that they believe demonstrates the most innovative use of polyurethanes. The results will be announced on October 1, 2008, during the closing session of the conference.

The Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference will feature technical sessions, panel discussions, poster presentations and full polyurethane professional development program.

CPI anticipates that the Conference will attract more than 1,200 people from 40 countries. For more information about CPI and the Polyurethanes 2008 Technical Conference, contact CPI at 703-741-5103, or visit www.americanchemistry.com/polyurethane for entry forms.
