April 2, 2020 – Santa Paula, CA - The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic has thrust humanity into a realm of unease and uncertainty to say the least. These feelings are shared and understandable as we enter truly unchartered territory for all of us and the world as a whole. Through these difficult times, it is important that we work together to combat this pandemic.
The Governor of California recently issued an order regarding the closure of certain business that are not critical to infrastructure. Pursuant to the order, a list of critical industries may remain open. As many of our customers, we are part of the critical business sectors that have been identified as essential from statewide Stay at Home orders in order to support critical businesses within a host of industries.
These industries include: Defense, Communications, Information Technology, Agriculture, Health, Water, Energy, and Transportation. Abrisa Technologies therefore plans to continue with on-site physical operations in both facilities, Santa Paula (Abrisa Industrial Glass) and Torrance (ZC&R Coatings for Optics).
As a result, our facilities will remain operational in order to provide the above essential glass fabrication and optical coatings products and services. While our products and services are critical, the safety and security of our workforce is of paramount importance to us. We have been monitoring this rapidly evolving situation closely, and management is in constant dialogue about how best to protect the safety and health of our employees and maintain the continuity and quality of our business. Even while we remain operational, we are taking numerous steps to ensure that our workplace is safe.
