AAMA's Industry Leadership Evidenced by Growth in Divisions and Marketing Participation

SCHAUMBURG, Ill -- The creation of the Wall Interface Material Council and increased marketing representative participation during the AAMA National Summer Conference indicates evidence of significant growth.

The newly created Wall Interface Material Council was approved by the Board of Directors of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). The announcement was made by Rich Walker, President and CEO, who noted that the new council will provide technical, regulatory, legislative, marketing and certification support to AAMA membership in connection with wall interface materials, components and systems.

Leonard Dorin of Fortifiber Building Systems Group and Ron Gzell of Schnee-Morehead, Inc., were named interim vice-presidents for the council, which will serve both the Architectural Product Group and the Residential Product Group. Reporting to the new Wall Interface Materials Council will be the AAMA Sealants and Adhesives Committee and its various sub-task groups, according to Walker.

Walker also noted a substantial increase in attendance from marketing representatives during AAMA's recent National Summer Conference in Huntington Beach, Cal. "While AAMA has been known primarily as a technical organization, our increased focus on educational course development, newsletter communications and programs that promote the value of AAMA certification has boosted participation by marketers," he added.
