Air & Waste Management Association to Present Webinar on Laboratory Accreditation

The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will present a Webinar outlining the requirements for proper testing and analysis of environmental samples, and the benefits of accreditation for laboratories on Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m. EST. "Laboratory Accreditation: Requirements and Benefits" will also discuss methods of air and water sampling near company facilities.

"Almost any organization that holds an environmental permit is required to analyze air and water samples around their facilities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations," said Adrianne Carolla, A&WMA Executive Director. "This Webinar will help to explain the different options for laboratory accreditation and the most effective methods of accreditation that will ensure that the analytical results are valid."

A panel of experts including Jerry Parr of the NELAC Institute, Lara Autry, Senior Advisor, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Research and Development, and Llona Taunton, Vice President, Quality and EHS, TestAmerica Inc. will discuss accreditation.

The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.
