Company Adds Staff, Relocates Michigan Service Center

Peabody, MA (March 29, 2010). . . Synventive Molding Solutions, a global leader in hot runner system solutions, has expanded its North American sales and service department to better serve its customers.

New Location for Michigan Service Center As the leading supplier of hot runner systems to the automotive industry, Synventive has operated a dedicated sales/service facility in the greater Detroit area for many years. The company has recently moved its Michigan facility from Troy to Livonia. The new location provides a more efficient layout and allows service personnel to be more centrally located and accessible to customers. The new address and contact information for this office is:

Synventive provides full-service capabilities out of this office, including Moldflow"· analysis services, hot runner system repair and cleaning, and a large inventory of replacement parts. The new office and additional personnel increases Synventive's capacity for technical ser-vices and allows the company to more efficiently respond to its customer needs.

New Employees Four new sales & service related employees have recently joined Synventive:

-Robert Reeder has joined Synventive as a Project Manager, working out of the company's cor-porate headquarters in Peabody, Mass. In this role he will leverage his substantial small part process expertise to enhance Synventive¡¦s applications engineering capabilities. He has over 14 years of plastics engineering experience, most recently as an Engineering Project Manager at Vaupell Industrial Plastics, a leading Seattle-based injection molder. Prior to that, he worked at The Gillette Company in Boston as a Senior Project Engineer, where he established and improved molding processes and led lean manufacturing teams. He holds a M.S. and B.S. in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.

-Bjorn van Duren recently joined Synventive as Technical Services Manager, based at Synven-tive's Peabody, Mass. corporate headquarters. In his new role, he will bring together Synven-tive North America¡¦s quality and service departments in order to drive a continuous improve-ment mindset throughout the organization. Prior to joining Synventive he worked for 5 years for Freudenberg-NOK in a variety of engineering and service positions, most recently as Opera-tions Manager of that company's Helix Medical facility in Gloucester, Mass., where he was re-sponsible for all operations for the medical device contract molder. A native of the Nether-lands, he holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utrecht and is fluent in English, German and Dutch.

-William Lamb has joined Synventive as a Field Service Technician, based at Synventive's new Livonia, Mich. office. In this role he will assist customers with new hot runner mold trials and will travel to customer locations for any repair needs. He has 35 years of injection molding experience, most recently as an Applications/Process/Sales Engineer for the past nine years with another hot runner company, where he traveled extensively both domestically and inter-nationally to customer sites.

-Lori Ann Mullins joined Synventive as Service Coordinator, working out of the company's new office in Livonia, Michigan. In this role she will work to bring fast resolution to customer ser-vice needs and will assist in dispatching Synventive's team of technical service personnel. Prior to joining Synventive she worked for eight years as a Sales Coordinator at Emhart Technologies in Farmington Hills, Mich. where she managed numerous projects and provided administrative support for the sales department and Plant Manager. She attended Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University.
