REGO-FIX to Feature Wide Variety of Products at WESTEC

Indianapolis, Indiana, January 9, 2006 - REGO-FIX will showcase its revolutionary powRgrip system and other products and solutions at the WESTEC 2006 Exposition and Conference in booth # 2428. The show is being held March 27 - 30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The REGO-FIX powRgrip system uses a toolholder and collet that allow for extremely high clamping forces greater than shrink-fit style holders. Designed with easy operation and functionality in mind, the system takes less than 10 seconds to press in a tool or remove it from the holder. By avoiding the use of processes relying on high levels of heat, powRgrip allows tools to be handled safely, immediately after a tool change.

Unlike other clamping systems, where heat or hydraulics are used to expand the material, the system uses mechanical properties of the holder material to generate tremendous gripping force with run-out below 0.0001."

REGO-FIX's newest product, the 'Zero-Z' short toolholder, will also be featured at the show. Appropriately named for its machining capabilities, the flexible Zero-Z features an incredibly short projection, allowing for more z-axis stroke and greater work piece size. The toolholder's unique design features a flush collet nut, whereby tool overhang is virtually eliminated.

Ideal for multiplex turning machines and small vertical machining centers, the Zero-Z offers improved surface finish, unsurpassed accuracy and complete tool rigidity. Like all REGO-FIX toolholders, the Zero-Z is pre-balanced up to 25,000 rpm.

Among other products being showcased at WESTEC, REGO-FIX will feature its ER collet system (DIN 6499), the most widely used and accepted clamping system in the world. Ideal for a variety of machining applications including boring, milling, reaming, tapping, and grinding, the innovative and flexible collet system is available in two levels of precision, standard and ultra-precision (UP). Both precision levels range from the ER 8 series to the ER 50 series and are available in standard and metric sizes. This broad selection of ER collets can accurately clamp tool shanks ranging from 0.2mm (0.0079") up to 34.0mm (1.3386").

REGO-FIX will also use WESTEC to highlight its Swiss Screw Machine holders. REGO-FIX cylindrical holders are compatible with the company's ER collets and designed for various automatic machines including Swiss type turning centers. The cylindrical holders can also be combined with other holders to extend cutting tools for various applications. This feature, along with its broad range of sizes (ER 8M - ER 40), types and tight tolerances, 0.0002" or better with REGO-FIX UP collets, makes REGO-FIX's cylindrical holders ideal for small part machining.
