Five U.S. Companies Receive Siemens Customer Excellence Award


LAS VEGAS, June 8, 2006 - Aubert Martin, president of Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. recognized five U.S. companies for outstanding achievement in the implementation and use of Siemens technology during the 2006 Siemens Automation Summit held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, June 6-8.

Martin presented the Siemens Customer Excellence Award to Air Products and Chemicals, Astec Industries, CoilPro Machinery, E&I Sales and Prism Systems at an evening management reception held during the Siemens 2006 Automation Summit.

"The Customer Excellence Award honors our customers who have shown ingenuity and creativity in deploying Siemens leading edge technology and products," Martin said. "They have gone the extra mile to help end users achieve the greatest return on investment and we greatly appreciate their commitment to Siemens."

The Customer Excellence Awards were open to end-user and OEM manufacturing companies that currently use Siemens technology. A panel of Siemens senior and product management representatives selected the recipients of the awards.

Air Products and Chemicals - Wichita, Kan., plant.

The two primary company objectives are outstanding customer service and establishing the most competitive prices available. E&I sells more electric motors than anyone else in the region. Because of this high sales volume, the company passes additional savings on to the customer.
