"A Look Back 1995-2015" By Mike Rossi, Founder Rossi Machinery Services, Inc.

Celebrating over 20 years in business is a success story that in the 80's started as a dream for me. Looking at how competitors conducted their businesses and the lack of genuine customer service, I knew that I could do much better.

Why push unneeded products services on customers when in the end they will not be happy?  Making the service call to evaluate the product or service other maintenance providers sold the customer, verified that I was right. Customers want what is needed and they want their machine fixed right the first time.  It was a simple but valuable observation. I developed my business plan off of this experience.   My business plan states that the customer will become a repeat and permanent customer if I provide them with an honest, fair priced, quality product or service.

Starting with a handful of business cards I set out to test the waters.  Word of mouth got me into many owners' offices. My training at Triple S Machine Company taught me machine tools from the ground up.  There wasn't much that I hadn't seen. My master teachers were strict, pushing me to learn the right way to rebuild, repair, and upgrade machine tools.  Since I had a reputation for excellence in town, businesses were willing to discuss what I could do for them.  My experience as a maintenance supervisor at Reuther Mold Manufacturing in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio taught me the need to work within the budget constraints.  I value both experiences. I built Rossi Machinery Services from what I learned at Triple S Machine & Reuther Mold & Manufacturing.

My new customers included:  Eaton Corporation, J.M. Smucker Company, T.L.T. Babcock as well as Nemes Machine, and many other small manufacturing companies. My customers reached every type of manufacturing. Working with them furthered my reputation and then in 1995 Rossi Machinery Services went full time.

As manufacturing evolves in the 21st century, we evolve too.  Keeping ahead of what product is needed and wanted by the customer has always been my goal. Learning is a lifelong skill that Rossi Machinery Services is dedicated to supporting.  We attend the seminars, and classes to learn the newest products coming to the industry. While the newest products and services are important, it is also important to keep the rebuilding and repairing service going.  Despite the newest machine tools, many small and even large firms still have older machine tools that must stay in service. CNC machine tools' moving parts still need the rebuilding end of my company.   Knowing both CNC and manual, new and old machine tools have always been my strength.  We try to be the one stop shop.

Today we offer products such as Heidenhain, Acu-Rite, Newall, Fagor and Sony as measuring system options.  We work with our customers to determine the best fit for their applications. We represent Renishaw probes.  Our in house rebuilding service cannot be surpassed. We rebuild your machines or machines that I rebuild and sell.

I utilize my German-style of rebuilding which focuses on machine tool geometry. My rebuilds are still going 20+ years.  Last year I branded my work, naming it NuBuild by ROSSI.

Sometimes rebuilding is not an option.  In a few cases it is not cost effective to rebuild and I will advise you to not rebuild.  I offer a line of well-built affordable machine tools as an option.

ACER Machine has a wide variety of manual and CNC machines. In addition to ACER this year we added safety products from 3M, Honeywell and other safety product companies.  We are able to discount and drop ship to your door.  Along with the safety products we are now an authorized representative for Rockford Systems, a machine guarding and Safety Company.  Rockford is the premier company for OSHA approved products.  Since we are a distributor, I provide my customers a discount off of list price. In keeping with my business plan, I want to be your partner in success.
