$20 Million Expansion at CHT USA Headquarters in Michigan
- CHT USA Celebrates Groundbreaking Ceremony to Kick-off Construction of its New Organo-modified Silicone Polymer Plant in Cassopolis, Michigan
- Expansion Expected to Add 30 New Jobs to Cass County
Cassopolis, Michigan, June 15, 2022 – After much anticipation, CHT USA hosted a groundbreaking ceremony earlier this month to celebrate its planned $20 million expansion at its US headquarters in Cassopolis Michigan. The ceremony had over 50 attendees including officials from local, county and state governments, neighbors, and area business leaders, CHT employees, management team, and members of the press.
“This investment will expand our global footprint, balance our supply base and allow us to establish production redundancy,” said Ken Kemerer, CHT USA Managing Director. “It provides significant growth opportunities for our innovative line of sustainable products.”
The new facility will add 45,000 square feet to the Cass County site, bringing the total square footage to 120,000 and is expected to add about 30 highly skilled new jobs to the community.
The ceremony was hosted by CHT USA’s Employee Engagement Coordinator, Melanie Hunsberger. Featuredremarks were presented by Mr. Kemerer, Emily LaGrow, Cassopolis Village Manager, Steve Carra, member of the Michigan House of Representatives, Matthew Newton, Deputy Administrator, Cass County and Zach Morris, Executive Director of Market Van Buren.
Following their remarks, the event speakers participated in a ceremonial groundbreaking.
