Tianma NLT America Announces New 19-Inch SXGA LCD with Integrated Projected Capacitive Touch Technology


Santa Clara, CA, – Tianma NLT America (TNAM) has announced the introduction of a new 19-inch diagonal color LCD module with Super Extended Graphics Array (SXGA) resolution and factory-installed projected capacitive (PCAP) touch panel technology.



Developed by NLT Technologies, the 19.0-inch model is currently the largest size in Tianma NLT America's PCAP family. Both the PCAP touch panel and the LCD module are manufactured by NLT Technologies and integrated before shipping from the factory. The new PCAP display incorporates NLT's proprietary Super Fine TFT technology that achieves high luminance, wide color gamut and ultra-wide viewing angles and is ideal for use in professional display applications such as medical equipment.



The use of touch panel displays with multi-touch functionality has been rapidly expanding in consumer applications like smart phones and tablet devices, as well as in industrial and medical applications. The increasing demand for PCAP touch panels continues due to their distinctive image quality and durability. As part of this trend, NLT Technologies has continued to invest in and develop its own PCAP-based touch technology, with a focus on professional and industrial applications. Until recently, the company has been limited in its ability to produce PCAP displays larger than 15-inch. However, the company has invested in additional equipment and materials, enabling it to develop the new 19-inch PCAP display. Furthermore, it incorporates NLT's proprietary Super Fine TFT (SFT) technology that achieves high density and ultra-wide viewing angles without compromising brightness or affecting color gamut, even in off-angle viewing conditions.



Total Touch Solution

Tianma NLT America offers total PCAP solutions, including the LCD, touch panel and controller board, direct from NLT's factory. The PCAP displays are covered by the same factory warranty offered by NLT on all of their professional and industrial LCD modules. Tianma NLT America also offers support for drivers and tuning software for the touch panel and touch sensor, allowing customers to easily design NLT's touch panel displays into their end products. TNAM's integrated PCAP products provide the same long-term support program, high quality and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) benefits as offered for their professional and industrial LCD module products.



Options

Tianma NLT America's PCAP touch panel solutions also offer valuable options as part of the PCAP structure, including bonding, surface treatment and cover glass. This allows end product designers greater flexibility and more display options, depending on the end use of the display.



A prototype of new 19-inch PCAP LCD module will be demonstrated at SID Display Week 2014, June 3-5, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA, in booth 1320.
