New Compact, Cost-Effective LV-PECL Oscillators From Fox Available In Tight Stabilities

Fort Myers, FL, September 2002 – Fox Electronics has released a new, cost-effective LV-PECL oscillator series that measures only 7 x 5 mm, and is available with stabilities as tight as ±20 ppm. The new F4600 Series is ideal for telecommunications applications including SONET, Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre channel.

The new 3.3 V, LV-PECL oscillators feature a standby function for low power consumption in sleep mode as well as complementary outputs. The F4600 Series has a standard operating temperature range of -10°C to +70°C (14°F to 158°F), with an optional -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to 185°F) range available for most models. Frequency range is 75 to 170 MHz; output symmetry is 40% to 60% at 1.65 V over the frequency range; and input current is a maximum of 60 mA.

As with all Fox ‘F’ Series oscillators, the new F4600 Series is available in bulk quantities or on a 2,000-unit tape and reel for automatic assembly systems.

Pricing for a new ±20 ppm F4608 oscillator at 156.25 MHz starts at $9.44 per unit in quantities of 10,000. Delivery is 10 weeks ARO.
