Independent ANAB accreditation, available for certification bodies that conform with ISO/IEC 17021, includes review of documented processes and procedures, on-site assessment, and witnessing conducted audit of organization seeking certification.

They will continue to provide consumers with choice of energy-efficient lighting products, including high-efficiency halogen, CFLs, and LED products.

Ivan Johnson Outstanding Achievement Award for significant contributions to Committee D18 on Soil and Rock. Holsinger is secretary of Committee D18 and works on several D18 subcommittees. A graduate of University of Pittsburgh, Holsinger spent 17 years as a high school math and science teacher before beginning his career in construction materials testing at AASHTO in 1990.

According to John Dick, a D11 member, standard relates to subtle variations in molecular changes such as rubber-to-plastic resin ratios, curative concentration for dynamic vulcanization, and DV temperature.

Primary prospective users of this standard will be tire and vehicle manufacturers, testing organizations, and tire regulatory organizations.

September 29, 2010 ASTM International Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications developed ASTM D7639, Test Method for Determination of Zirconium Treatment Weight or Thickness on Metal Substrates by X-Ray Fluorescence, to aid production of fit-for-purpose and cost-effective parts. Applicable along process line or in QC lab, standard will be used to measure zirconium treatment weight or thickness applied to metal substrates.
