It featured interactive panel discussions and technical sessions, as well as National Research Council Report: Assessment of Fuel Economy Technologies for Medium and Heavy Duty Vehicles, presented by Dr. Andrew Brown, Jr. of Delphi Corp. Tier 4 FAQ report is intended, according to DTF executive director Allen Schaeffer, to facilitate transition for those involved in off-road industry as new rules take effect. In addition to emissions tables, report includes technical graphics and other resources.

November 9, 2010 According to AMTDA, September U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $399.76 million, which was up 66.1% from August and up 156.8% when compared with total of $155.69 million report for September 2009. With year-to-date total of $2,090.27 million, 2010 is up 74.1% compared with 2009. These numbers and all data in report are based on totals of actual data reported by companies participating in United States Manufacturing Technology Consumption program.
RIA seeks projects for its Phoenix Awards.

November 8, 2010 RIA is still seeking entries for 2011 Phoenix Awards for Innovation in Restoration and Reconstruction. Competition is open to RIA member firms as well as non-member firms who are active service providers in restoration and remediation industry. To be considered for eligibility, project must be at least 90% complete by December 2010. Projects must also involve personal or building property and residential or commercial buildings in areas of restoration and reconstruction.

According to NAM President and CEO John Engler, Congress needs to extend all tax cuts across the board and pass permanent R/D credit to increase innovation, which will immediately create jobs and grow economy. In June 2010, NAM launched "Manufacturing Means Jobs!" campaign and manufacturers call upon new Congress to endorse and publicly support this strategy.

With monthly individual premiums as low as $150 (when employer-paid), these indemnity plans are designed to help meet basic health care needs by providing fixed-payment amounts for unlimited physician office visits, insured prescription drugs, inpatient hospitalization, surgery, emergency care, and diagnostic testing.

Event generated 3,138 business opportunity meetings, many of which resulted in immediate on-site sales. "We sold all three machines we brought to the show," said Bob Black of Juki Automation Systems, leading them to increase their booth size for 2011. Attendee surveys show high satisfaction in technical quality and influence on future buying decisions.
