            <title>Quad Linear Equalizer extends reach of DFEs.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/568099</link>
            <description>
Supplied in 5 x 7 mm package, 1-10.3 Gbps MAX3986 equalizer for copper interconnects offers port matching with 24 dB typ return loss and 33 dB typ channel-to-channel isolation. Each channel can compensate for losses in 20 in. of FR4, with data rates up to 10.3 Gbps. Stand-alone product can also be used to extend reach of limiting equalizers and decision feedback equalizers (DFEs), as linear range preserves essential signal characteristics needed for optimum DFE performance.

            <title>SDI Equalizer exhibits low-jitter, 3 Gbps performance.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/559172</link>
            <description>
Offered in 16-LLP&amp;#174; package, LMH0384 PowerWise&amp;#174; 3 Gbps (3G) serial digital interface (SDI) cable equalizer (EQ) ensures less than 0.3 unit intervals of output jitter from zero to 110 m of Belden 1694A coaxial cable at 2.97 Gbps. It equalizes up to 140 m of cable at 3G rates, 200 m at HD rates, and 400 m at SD rates. Equalization levels are adaptively adjusted to receive incoming signals and provide low-jitter transmission of 1080p HD broadcast video at up to 60 fps over one coax cable.
