Supplied in 5 x 7 mm package, 1-10.3 Gbps MAX3986 equalizer for copper interconnects offers port matching with 24 dB typ return loss and 33 dB typ channel-to-channel isolation. Each channel can compensate for losses in 20 in. of FR4, with data rates up to 10.3 Gbps. Stand-alone product can also be used to extend reach of limiting equalizers and decision feedback equalizers (DFEs), as linear range preserves essential signal characteristics needed for optimum DFE performance.
