Ranging from 3-40 A, ATO&amp;#194;&amp;#174; Fuses protect electrical devices from excess current flow. Internal element is activated by excessive heat, greater than what fuse is rated for, thus melting element and eliminating flow of electricity. End electrical component is then protected from over current state. Once fuse is blown, it must be replaced.

            <title>Resettable Fuses protect variety of electronic equipment.</title>
            <link>http://news.thomasnet.com/fullstory/498162</link>
            <description>
Available in radial leaded styles with ratings from 16-240 Vac/Vdc and in industry standard 1812 and 2920 chip sizes, Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient Fuses help protect against over-current surges and over-temperature faults by limiting flow of dangerously high current during fault conditions. RoHS-6 compliant units do not require replacement after fault event as they reset themselves, allowing circuit to resume normal operating conditions once power is removed.
